Beam Eye Tracker 2.5.12 now uses up to 40% less CPU in some tracking and camera preview cases. That headroom goes straight back to your game. This release also clears the Standalone installer and sign-in issues that blocked some people, along with steadier hotkey and settings handling.
🚀 Up to 40% Lower CPU Usage
In a range of tracking and camera preview cases, Beam now uses up to 40% less CPU than before. The camera preview is lighter too, especially with high-resolution webcams. Less overhead for Beam means more headroom for your game and everything else running alongside it.
🔧 Standalone Installer Fixed
The Standalone Windows installer no longer fails when a newer Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable is already installed on your PC. You no longer need to uninstall any VC++ runtimes as a workaround. Just download and run it.
Installer identity is now stable per version as well, which reduces duplicate install and upgrade confusion.
🔑 Sign-In and Authorization Fixed
We resolved the Standalone sign-in and authorization issues where some people could not sign in or were not recognized as licensed. If that was you, update to 2.5.12 and sign in again.
⌨️ Hotkeys and Settings
- Safer hotkey handling: Invalid saved hotkeys are now ignored instead of causing problems, and keys that Windows reserves are rejected cleanly.
- Clearer settings errors: When Beam cannot read or write its settings, the message explains why, with hints about permissions, antivirus, or Windows Controlled Folder Access.
