Eyeware Beam ($30 or so) plus OpenTrack (open source/free and Beam needs it) plus an inexpensive webcam (I have a Logitech c922 is it? Whatever it is it was popular but now no longer made they have other models) works wonders.
You can get away with a pretty good head AND eye tracking solution for well under $100.

I got the brio 300 webcam and this works as a GREAT alternative to tobii eye tracker. Only spent ~$50 on my webcam (something i needed for work anyway) and $30 on this for great head & eye tracking. Definitely worth trying out. Settings from the trail DO transfer over to the full product in case you're wondering.

I can really recommend the eyeware beam tracker which you can get on steam for 28$. Use your webcam and open track (separate app). So much better than the in game foip and about 250$ cheaper than Tobii. They have a free demo for 2 hours usage so give it a shot. I absolutely love it

Works great. However, you need to spend a few minutes configuring OpenTrack for a given game and create profiles. Detects head movements and eye movements. However, for me, head movement detection is sufficient. A lot also depends on the game. Overall, I recommend it. (translated)

Działa rewelacyjnie. Trzeba jednak poświęcić kilka minut na konfigurację OpenTrack'a pod daną grę i stworzyć sobie profile. Wykrywa ruchy głowy jak i ruchy oczu. Jednak dla mnie wystarczającym jest wykrywanie ruchu głowy. Dużo też zależy od gry. Ogólnie polecam.

Best eye tracking software
This app has changed my view of how I am immersed in games. I personally use the head tracking in American Truck Simulator but so much more is available for this app! The eye tracking is perfect for streamers (like myself) or other content creators. On top of this, the support team is one of the best, helping with even the setup of the product. This is truly my favorite app on my phone now and it continues to impress me with updates enhancing the experience even more!

Great for DCS
So I’m currently waiting to get a track IR and use the EB head tracker on my iPhone for DCS. If you get in and adjust the input and output curves it is actually pretty amazing. I’ve been using it since January 2023 and I will say it is a great product and alternative option for those getting into head tracking games. Good job devs!!
