If the game is already open, you must close and relaunch it for it to recognize the change. Relaunch is only necessary if you install Beam for the first time.

ATS detects tracking automatically. Head and eye tracking should work right away.
If it does not (which can happen due to game updates, mods, or other setting changes), you can manually enable it in the configuration file:
• Navigate to: C:\Users\[YourWindowsUsername]\Documents\American Truck Simulator\config.cfg
• Open the file with Notepad and find the line: uset g_trackir "0".
• Change it to: uset g_trackir "1" and save the file.
• This forces the game engine to recognize the tracking signal.
Important Note: Do NOT activate the "Eye Tracking HW" checkbox in the in-game settings. That feature is only for hardware eye trackers and will block the Beam Eye Tracker signal.

Using the separate Opentrack app? (only required for v2.4.5 or older)
For Beam Eye Tracker 2.5.2 and newer, OpenTrack components are built-in for a simplified experience.
Users on v2.4.5 or older are required to use the separate OpenTrack app. Current users can also choose to use it if preferred. Follow the Opentrack extension setup guide and refer to the instructions and tooltips inside the Beam Eye Tracker for guidance.
